Music should always be fun: it should get people involved and excited about being alive for those all too brief moments when it fills the air: that is my philosophy. It should leave a lasting impression. Anything more than that is frosting on the cake.
I have over twelve years experience in children’s music, using a variety of instruments, puppets, storytelling and books to connect with audiences.
Here are a few of my accomplishments:
• Own and operate my own thriving children’s music business.
• Teach daily music classes and perform special musical events throughout the North Shore, Southern New Hampshire and the Boston area, with a solid client base of day care centers, libraries, festivals and schools.
• Write and perform original music for plays at The Firehouse in Newburyport, MA . Past performances include “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl and “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster. This fall (2010) we will be putting on “The Witches” also by Roald Dahl.
• Recorded and self-produced two successful CDs of original and traditional children’s music.
• Ran several successful after school song and skit programs, grades K-5, including one for the Hosmer School in Watertown, MA which culminated in a performance for the families.
• Developed and delivered several workshops at daycare centers, colleges and national conventions regarding the integration of music into the classroom.
